THE BOAT
Two hours of magic aboard to explore the St Lucia Estuary Lake for close up sightings of Hippo, Crocodile, Mangrove Swamps and birds, such as the African fish eagle and Giant kingfisher.
The ferry is either a 15 or 30 seater and departs from the St Lucia Estuary to the Narrows, 6km north of St Lucia bridge.
The main objective is to provide knowledge of the spectacular St Lucia Estuary ecosystem, whilst providing an opportunity for photographs and memories that will last a lifetime.
The ferry has ample walking space and is equipped with a fully licensed bar, tuck shop, toilets, public address system and a sundeck for better viewing.

SUNSCREEN
Put on some sunscreen to protect against the hot South African sun.
COMFY CLOTHES
Wear comfortable clothes and bring a jacket. It can get chilly in the mornings and afternoons.

Take your camera or binoculars. There is always something amazing to see.

We stayed at Monzi Safaris tented camp in town, it was stunning. Drove to Cape Vidal, saw lots of wildlife along the way. Went on the early morning Advantage boat trip to see the hippos! Everything was really good. Definitely will go back for more.
